  • Dennis you don't have a leg to stand on. While most cops DO obey the law they also look the other way when the bad ones break it. That makes them criminals too. Yes ANY time a cop looks the other way, and it happens every day they are not living by societies rules.

  • I followed this law once... i.e. drove slowly to a well lit area( a distance of about 1/4 of a mile)... I was YANKED out of my car with a loaded gun pointed at me, forced to lie facedown on the asphalt while I was searched, quite frankly if I wasn't white I'd probably be dead.

  • Forget terrorism, this is the real threat to national security. To big to fail is a national security risk and should be dealt with. Why do we allow these overconfident fools play games with our economy, if they crash..

  • If you want a graphic demonstration.. put a cd in the microwave(make sure its not one you want to keep).. turn on the microwave... watch the fun. And to answer your second question, there are LOTS of concerns about the health effects of these scanners.

  • The TSA wanted to do what was EASY not what they should. If she had been an adult she probably wouldn't have had a problem, but we have adopted the attitude of "obey authority or else" when it comes to teenagers(students).

  • Its not the kids word... The manufacturer specifically states that the pump should not be scanned. I'm betting that the engineers who designed the pump have a much better idea how it works than the semi-literate TSA agents.

  • There's no substitute for this kind of training, real wounds on a real living animal. This training saves lives. It takes practice under real world stress and consequences to build the skills and confidence to make a good medic.

  • @Really?; If Zimmerman wants to use the affirmative defense of the stand your ground law, the burden of proof is on him. Its a well established legal principal that applies to a variety of affirmative legal defenses such as diminished capacity and insanity.
